Layer B.V. ("we" and "us") operates the website (https://layerparis.com/) ("Website"). By placing an order through this Website, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms ensure a clear understanding between both parties regarding our services, expectations, and policies.

 

1. General

We strive to keep our stock levels accurate on our website, but occasionally discrepancies may occur. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will ship the available products and contact you to determine whether you would like to wait for a restock or receive a refund for the out-of-stock item.

 

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination. The shipping fee is collected during the purchase and reflects the final cost for shipping to the customer.

 

3. Returns

3.1 Returns Due to Change of Mind

House of Layers accepts returns for change of mind if a request is submitted within 14 days of receiving the item. The product must be unused, in its original packaging, and in a resalable condition.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and must arrange the return shipment themselves. Once the returned items are received and approved, a store credit will be issued for future purchases or a refund. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

3.2 Warranty Claims

House of Layers honors valid warranty claims if submitted within 90 days of receiving the item.

Customers must initially cover return shipping costs, which will be reimbursed upon a successful claim. Once the returned item is received and assessed, the warranty claim will be processed within 7 days.

If the claim is approved, customers may choose between:

(a) A refund to the original payment method
(b) A store credit refund
(c) A replacement product (subject to availability)

4. Delivery Terms

4.1 Shipping Time Within The Netherlands

Domestic orders typically arrive within 1–3 business days.

4.2 International Shipping Time

International orders generally take 2–7 business days to arrive. Delivery times vary based on the courier selected at checkout.

4.3 Order Processing

Orders placed before 12 AM – MST (UTC-07) are dispatched the same day. Orders placed afterward will be processed the next business day.

Our warehouse operates Monday through Friday during business hours, excluding national holidays. We take steps to minimize any shipping delays caused by holiday closures.

4.4 Address Changes

Customers may update their delivery address at any time before an order has been dispatched.

4.5 Shipping to P.O. Boxes

House of Layers ships to P.O. boxes using postal services only. Courier services are not available for P.O. box deliveries.

4.7 Out-of-Stock Items

If an item is unavailable at the time of shipment, we will cancel and refund that item while dispatching the rest of the order.

4.8 Delayed Deliveries

If your order has exceeded the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate the delay.

 

5. Tracking Information

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link to monitor the shipment's progress based on updates from the shipping provider.

 

6. Damaged Parcels

If a parcel arrives damaged, please reject the delivery and inform our customer service team. If the parcel was delivered without your presence, contact customer service for further assistance.

 

7. Duties & Taxes

7.1 Sales Tax

All applicable sales tax is included in the displayed product price on our website.

7.2 Import Duties & Taxes

Orders shipped outside the European Union and The Netherlands' overseas territories may incur customs fees, import duties, or local taxes. These additional charges are the responsibility of the buyer and must be handled with the relevant local authorities.

 

8. Order Cancellations

Customers may cancel orders before dispatch. If an order has already been shipped, our return policy applies.

 

9. Insurance

All shipments are insured for loss and damage up to the value stated by the shipping provider.

9.1 Claim Process for Damaged Parcels

A refund or replacement will be processed once the shipping provider completes their investigation into the claim.

9.2 Claim Process for Lost Parcels

A refund or replacement will be processed once the shipping provider confirms the parcel is lost.
